This kit depicts the version of the Indian Pattern Carriers that were built in New Zealand and used by New Zealand Commonwealth forces in the Second World War and in the Korean War. Several hundred of these vehicles were built with the primary differences being a welded hull instead of rivetted, a variation in the front hull and fender section, altered stowage boxes, and the repositioning of the driver to a more centralised and sunken down position, which resulted in the repositioning of the controls and the front armoured plate's viewing apertures.
